ABOUT US

High Fiber Diet is a group of fiber artists committed to advancing their art professionally. HFD actively searches for exhibit venues, and members have the opportunity to submit work for juried group exhibitions. High Fiber Diet members challenge themselves to become more educated about art and design principles and to improve creatively on an individual basis. The group meets 7 times per year (February, April, May, July, August, October, and November) on the third Tuesday from 1:30pm – 3:30pm. Venues may change and some meetings are held online. Meetings usually include a discussion topic, updates on current and upcoming exhibits, and sharing of members' current work. For more information about the group, check the HFD blog at www.hfd-highfiberdiet.blogspot.com or contact Pam Pilcher at pilcherpam@gmail.com.

The group is affiliated with Columbia FiberArts Guild of Portland, Oregon

NW Vibes
What is it that makes the Northwest unique from the rest of the country? There is a reason we have chosen to live here; is it the beauty of the landscape, the variation of the skies and weather, the character of the cities, or that you can get the best cup of coffee in the country at virtually every corner? This show represents what makes living in the Northwest special to us.

  2. There is a lot of discussion about low carb diets, and whether they are healthy or not. Everyone who has been on one knows that the first few days are hell. So why are people going on these diets? Yes these diets will help you lose weight but is this the most efficient way to do so?

  3. The problem with relying on dietary sources of fiber is that most people don’t eat a diet high in fiber. For people like me whose diets are less-than-rich in fiber, I recommend the Lady Soma Fiber Cleanse. Its a fiber supplement (not a cleanse) because its all-natural and has natural (herbal) sources such as ground flaxseed and psyllium husks, and provides at decent amount of fiber per serving. This product saved me. You should give it a try - I dont get the fiber that I should when I dont use it.
